2007 Monterey Music Summit

The Monterey Music Summit is a two day music festival held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds with over 35 bands performing on two stages. The Summit set the stage for green efforts with a commitment to offset all carbon emissions. Summit stage events emitted an average of 4212 pounds of carbon while transportation for the shows generated about 428,396 pounds. Other calculations included marketing and vendor participation. In order to offset these emissions, 703 trees were planted in Monterey County, keeping with The Offset project’s local and sustainable theme. Event footage

2007 Good Old Days

Pacific Grove’s Good Old Days continues to be the largest music and arts festival in the Tri County area offering six entertainment venues and over 230 food and craft vendors. The Offset Project was instrumental in creating a community wide effort that involved planting 507 trees and starting an annual Demonstration to showcase green building products, renewable energy, toxic household waste, recycling and composting – all happening during Good Old Days.

2007 Solar Tour & Sustainability Fair

This event raises money for the building of the first green certified classroom in the Hilton Bialek Habitat’s school garden coated at the Carmel Middle School. The event hosts a guided solar home tour, lecture series and hands-on demonstrations on how to live sustainably at home. The Offset Project did the carbon calculations which resulted in planting six trees in the Habitat area. Carbon Report...
